The Process
Before shoot day, we’ll connect over a Zoom consultation to align on goals, market, and visual direction. We’ll also chat about which outfits to wear for your agency digitals shoot (aka Model Polaroids).
Women: Most clients opt for a fitted tank top with fitted jeans or leggings for one look, then a simple 2 pc bikini set for the second. Keep footwear clean and minimal — strappy heels work best.
Men: A common go-to is a tank top with jeans, followed by a shirtless look with jeans or shorts for the second outfit. Stick to clean sneakers or loafers, no boots.
BEFORE THE SHOOT
Sessions take place in my Evanston studio. During the session, we’ll capture all the agency-approved essentials — clean headshots, strong profiles from both sides, full-length at different angles, and natural movement shots that show how you really move on camera. These sessions are quick and super focused so that we can capture all the angles that you need for submissions and castings.
THE PHOTOSHOOT
Once your session wraps, everything moves into a smooth, organized post-production process.
Within 2–3 business days, your agency digitals will be delivered via Google Drive for easy access and downloads. WeTransfer is also available upon request.
If you’re not currently signed and actively looking, I’ll also provide a curated list of agencies I recommend submitting to—chosen specifically to match your look and overall vibe.

He has such a great eye for lighting, angles, and detail, which really brought out the best in every shot. Patrick has a very friendly and easy-going personality. As a photographer, he is experienced and knowledgeable in his craft. His amiable personality and skills in photography allow for an enjoyable, low-stress, yet productive photo shoot. He will also provide tips and advice for models during the shoot if necessary. This makes it easier for models at any level of experience. The studio space is clean and polished yet well-decorated. My session with him was very efficient yet comfortable which made for an easy process.

FAQ - Agency Digitals for Models
What are modeling digitals?
Modeling digitals refer to a series of professional photographs taken of a model that showcase their physical attributes. These photographs are usually taken in a plain background, with minimal or no makeup, and are essential for a model's portfolio, agency representation, and casting opportunities.
Why are modeling digitals important?
Modeling digitals play a crucial role in the modeling industry as they serve as an initial introduction of a model to potential clients, casting directors, and agencies. These photographs give an accurate representation of a model’s physique, facial features, and versatility, allowing industry professionals to assess their potential suitability for specific projects.
What should be included in modeling digitals?
Typically, a set of modeling digitals consists of the following shots:
- Headshot: A clear, well-lit photo of the model's face, showing their features without heavy makeup or hairstyling.
- Profile: A side view of the model's face, highlighting their facial structure.
- Full-Length: A full-body shot of the model, usually in form-fitting clothing, to showcase their body proportions.
- Swimsuit/Bikini: A full-body shot of the model in swimwear to display their physique.
How should I prepare for modeling digitals?
To prepare for modeling digitals, follow these tips:
- Ensure you have clean, well-maintained skin.
- Wear minimal or no makeup.
- Style your hair naturally or tie it back to show your face clearly.
- Wear form-fitting clothing that highlights your body's shape, preferably black fitted jeans or leggings and a black or white tank top.
- Use natural lighting or a well-lit space for photography.
How often should I update my modeling digitals?
It's recommended to update your modeling digitals at least every 3 to 6 months or whenever there are significant changes to your appearance, such as a new hairstyle, hair color, or body size.
Can I retouch my modeling digitals?
No, modeling digitals should not be retouched. They are meant to showcase your natural appearance, and any alterations can misrepresent your true look. Retouched photos are typically reserved for portfolio images or other specific marketing materials.
Are modeling digitals different from a modeling portfolio?
Yes, modeling digitals are distinct from a modeling portfolio. Digitals are basic, unretouched photos meant for evaluation, while a modeling portfolio includes a curated collection of your best, professionally shot images showcasing your versatility and experience.
